Aplasia Pollicis Blauth V
Follow-up one month after correction surgery for thumb aplasia of Blauth V of the right hand.
Normal functional opposition with a rebalancing of the extrinsic and intrinsic musculature. Tendon insertions of the index finger were detached after subtractive osteotomy of the 2nd metacarpal and subsequent rebalancing of the thenar eminence, with the construction of a new dorsal apparatus and a new abductor pollicis brevis through the first dorsal interosseous anchored on F1 base and an abductor pollicis longus through the Extensor Pollicis Longus fixed at the base of first metacarpal bone. Both flexors are left intact after the opening of the A1 and A2 pulleys.
